Drivers mates are required for several distribution and removals companies across the Exeter area.
Duties will include assisting a driver in delivering products of varying size and value to customers homes. This may include large electrical goods, furniture or customer belongings. Heavy lifting is involved so applicants must be physically fit and expect to carry large items. A certain amount of assistance in installation of products into customer homes is also required.
Excellent map reading skills are essential for this position. You will be responsible for ensuring the driver gets to their next location quickly and efficiently, avoiding potential hazards such as narrow roads and low bridges.
This is a temporary but on-going position, giving the candidates potential for full time work within this industry, whilst gaining valuable experience.
Week and weekend work is available, and with regular overtime hours as the business requires.
